YEAR END APPEAL

$2134 / $100,000 Raised

City of Good works to fill a unique niche in our food system — creating radical access for our neighbors and economic viability for our local farmers. Partnership is at the core of everything we do, which means your gift reaches far more than just one organization and strengthens our food system for all.

Since 2020 we have purchased & delivered:

125,939 total restaurant prepared meals given to neighbors

203,556 total pounds (100+ tons) fresh produce delivered to pantries

$81,476 worth of diverse shelf-stable foods on school pantry shelves

5,083 Mobile Market visitors shopping for local produce

And we aren’t stopping now!

As we have this November & since our founding, City of Good will continue to respond quickly & efficiently to the on going food crises that affect our community. This includes expanding the reach of our Mobile Market, supplying community meals to Interfaith Sanctuary, growing our surplus produce program, revamping our volunteer program, and ensuring ALL our neighbors continue to have radical access to fresh, local food.

  • “It is such a win-win-win for our community! They purchase food from refugee farmers [and] in turn, provide no-cost wholesome food for seniors, food insecure families, and anyone else in the community who would like to participate... I can't imagine a better scenario!”

    - Dianne & Ron Berning

  • “I can only do a small part myself, but I get to see other good people doing their small part too and together BIG things happen. Hearts are lifted and good wins in those moments!”

    Kaitlyn Tanner

  • "I have seen first hand the impact of the programs on children and families that do not have enough to eat. I realized that my small monthly donation would be money well spent. For the price of a fancy coffee, I could help feed food insecure neighbors in our community."

    - Stacey Kendrick

  • “I grew up on food stamps, food pantries, free lunches, and the backpack program through the Boise School District [...] I believe ALL Treasure Valley families deserve access to fresh fruits & vegetables, & delicious local meals, which is why I support City of Good.”

    - Kayla Wilcox

  • "City of Good is an easy choice because it benefits local growers, restaurants, food-insecure neighbors, and anyone who enjoys eating nutritious, delicious, local food. The monthly giving circle is aptly named because the benefits are circular, with beneficiaries and donors on the same level."
