MOBILE MARKET MANAGER
Annual Salary: $57,000
Full Time Exempt

Job Overview / Summary:
This position is essential to expanding radical access to fresh, local food while strengthening program sustainability and earned revenue opportunities. The Mobile Market Manager leads the strategy, growth, operations, and community impact of City of Good’s Mobile Market program in partnership with the Boise Farmers Market. This role is responsible for planning and executing MM routes, managing all logistics and inventory; building strong local partnerships; supervising team members; and enhancing customer engagement. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, equity-minded, and passionate about food access, sustainable agriculture, and community-centered service.
Key Accountabilities
Program Leadership & Strategy
Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of mobile market operations and routes.
Develop strategies for expanding sites, increasing market frequency, and growing revenue streams.
Operations & Logistics
Partner with BFM staff to order all products and maintain strong relationships with farmers and food producers.
Manage inventory — ordering, receiving, stocking, and tracking produce to ensure quality and minimal waste.
Coordinate vehicle needs, equipment, storage, and supply logistics.
Team Supervision
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise seasonal staff and volunteers engaged with the Mobile Market.
Facilitate team meetings, performance feedback, and positive workplace culture.
Partnerships & Community Engagement
Cultivate and maintain partnerships with local farms, community organizations, neighborhood leaders, and stakeholders.
Serve as the public face of the Mobile Market at community meetings, events, and partner sites.
Implement outreach and marketing strategies to boost awareness, participation, and revenue.
Customer Experience & Equity
Promote a welcoming, dignified customer experience that centers community needs.
Monitor customer feedback and co-design improvements with community input.
Program Evaluation & Reporting
Track key performance indicators (KPIs), produce sales, outreach metrics, and equity goals.
Prepare regular reports for leadership, partners, and funders.
Revenue & Financial Stewardship
Identify and pursue earned revenue opportunities, such as specialty partnerships, sponsorships, and grant support.
Assist with annual budgets and financial tracking for the Mobile Market program.
Job Requirements:
3 years of experience in food access, farmers’ markets, community programs, or related nonprofit operations.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle a dynamic work environment.
Leadership experience managing teams, volunteers, or partners.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and spend hours at a time on your feet.
