Help put good food in the hands of neighbors who need it

Dandelion Picking  – April and May

We are supporting the City of Boise and their goals to reduce pesticide use in public parks (which means more dandelions, and they need picked!). The dandelions will be used for some fun things at the Dandelion Festival on June 22. For now, we are helping supply volunteers for two-hour dandelion picking shifts throughout April and May. For questions or more information, please view the collection flyer here or email [email protected]. View available shifts and sign up here.

Food Program opportunities

City of Good partners with local growers, markets, and restaurants to bring fresh produce, diverse shelf stable food, and prepared meals to neighbors in our community that are experiencing food and nutrition insecurity. Volunteer needs vary, and include jobs such as farm support, produce and shelf stable food delivery, meal pickups, and fuel kit assembly + delivery. View available shifts and sign up here. For questions or more information, please email [email protected].

treasure valley canopy network

We are partnering with our friends at Treasure Valley Canopy Network again this year to assist with tree planting. Click here for volunteer opportunities. For questions or more information, please email [email protected].

“I have absolutely loved participating in the City of Good throughout this crazy time! As the communication bridge between the restaurants and schools, I have gained a new respect for chefs and teachers alike. To witness how they have both so gracefully adapted to make sure our kids and families are fed, while supporting our local farms and resources is truly inspiring. I am honored to have been a part of this amazing program from the beginning stages and I can’t wait to see how it will continue to grow.”
