Happy Produce Season, *{{Informal Name}}* !

It's the best time of the year for us at City of Good because ALL of our programs are running at full speed. Ready to eat meals are being delivered, produce is being distributed, the Mobile Market is hitting the road, classes are being taught at Idaho State Correctional Center, and delicious burgers are being sold at The Counter.

We have a lot to be excited about this month, so keep reading!

To highlight the main attractions :

- June 16th at 10:30am : Mobile Market kicks off with a ribbon cutting with Mayor McClean at Owyhee Park 

- June 21st, 12pm - 8pm : Dandelion Festival

- Volunteer opportunities!

$1,100 worth of diverse shelf-stable foods to Community School pantries

900 pounds of local produce to community food pantries

Choose what you pay for fresh, local produce

Making routine stops Monday-Thursday, the Mobile Market brings the farmers market right to you starting Monday!

- Every shopper chooses what to pay and how they make that payment. No questions asked. 

- Options include credit/debit cards, cash, SNAP/EBT, and Double Up Food Bucks tokens!

- Staff on site at all stops to help shoppers purchase fresh produce from local farmers

Join us on Monday at Owyhee Park at 10:30am for a ribbon cutting with Mayor McLean to ring in the Mobile Market season and reveal our new electric van, Evie!

LET IT BLOOM!

We’re back for the 3rd Annual Dandelion Festival in partnership with the City of Boise! Join us on June 21st at Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park from 12-8pm for a day full of dandelion beverages (beer, root beer, kombucha, NA cocktails), local food, live music featuring Brad Parsons & Carmel N The Closers, and hands on activities for kids - there’s something for everyone! This event is free and open to the public! All sales made at the festival go back to City of Good

We have openings for multiple volunteer opportunities this month and the rest of the produce season! These include event help at Dandelion Festival, produce surplus delivery, and Mobile Market support.
