About City of Good

City of Good’s mission is to mobilize the Boise community to build a “Circle of Good” that empowers socially committed leaders and businesses to create a prosperous future for all. We feed hungry children while employing workers at Boise restaurants who source fresh and seasonal produce from local food producers. What We Do

WEEKEND FUEL KITS

Our Weekend Fuel Kits Program is designed to help Boise District Community Schools feed food-insecure children every weekend. Partner restaurants are paid to create the meals, helping to ensure that kitchen staff remain employed and economic resiliency exists within their business model. They produce six meals for every kit, and meals are made with no less than 30% of locally-sourced ingredients, helping to ensure our local farmers, ranchers and bakeries are supported.

BOX OF GOOD PROGRAM

Our Box of Good Program is an opportunity for the community to purchase meals from our partner restaurants at a cost that supports the Weekend Fuel Kits program. We work with groups and individuals hosting small, private events to large-scale galas. We partner with local restaurants who utilize fresh and locally sourced ingredients for the Box of Good meals, which supports our nearby farmers and food producers.
